Cape Harmony – “Cape Cod’s premiere all-female a cappella group, comprised of ten talented young women from all over the nation who come together during the summer months to make their music.”
The following samples are from a live concert recording August, 2009. The concert took place in a church on a busy street, and was un-amplified, so what you’re hearing is exactly what the audience heard – passing traffic and all. As you’ll hear, the girls have impeccable balance, tuning, rhythm, and blend.
- High and Dry by Radiohead
- Born to Fly by Sara Evans
- Because by the Beatles
Cat’s Meow – “the only female a cappella group on the University of Vermont’s campus. This group was founded by Jennifer Orr in 1981 and has been a campus life treasure ever since then.”
This sample is from Needham HS’s A Cappella GO! 2012. I was running live sound for the concert as well as recording the performances.
- Clumsy by Fergie
HartAttack – “the new premiere a cappella group to attack the University of Hartford. You could have an attack at any time.”
This sample is from the same concert put on by Needham Creative Arts Council in January, 2012.

This original song appeared on their 2005 studio album “Can’t Get There From Here” which was recorded and produced at Wave Maker Studios. I used to be a member of this group. In fact, I did the vocal percussion for this recording.
